A great app for a Fanatics
I am a sports fan like many, what differs for me is I would say I fill the fanatic part of that. I love baseball, football, soccer, basketball really any sport I can appreciate, the best way to keep up with all these different teams, leagues or divisions is to have a great app like Bleacher Report. It is a must if you are a fan that likes to read articles, get breaking news or injury reports on your favorite teams, its well organized and easy to navigate so you can jump from team to team no matter the sport.
News Content: When you first download the app and open it, you pick your teams that you would like to start following and get reports on. After your selections you are able to open a tab that has a list of all your teams you click on one and a new window opens then there our tabs of stories to read newest on top as well as social media updates, The stories come from many sources on the internet and give great info for fanatics like me. You can get those draft notes from a draft analyst or how the teams practice might have gone. If you want to read on trade rumors or maybe internal issues in the organization this is your app. There also our tabs for the general sport to like an nfl tab so you can keep upto date on the sports general news as well.
Appearance: This app has a smooth, sleek, sporty design, that doesnt do to much to pull away from its content. The tabs you go to for your teams are of that team color and have the teams logo on the opposite side of the tab to its name. Your teams scores run along the top where live scores first and upcoming games as you slide down. The initial entry to the app is all your sports teams stories mixed with newest on top, from there its easy to search player, teams, or a league. Changing your settings or get to your individual teams tab, it is all clearly labeled and easy to understand. Also all new stories come with a picture that is relevant to the article.
Alerts and Notifications: The app has an alerts tab and a edit notification tab, alerts are just breaking news and the most recent news posted for your teams. It can actually be set so you get a notification for breaking stories as well. The alerts can be changed so you can decide which our sent as notifications, for example if you like football but barely pay attention to baseball you can set it so football news notifies you and baseball does not. You can also receive alerts for tds, goals scored, or homeruns hit. Also includes ending scores of game or even halftime or quarter scores if youre a real fanatic like me.
Scores: The scores our great they our live and you can view all of your team scores in the first window along the top or in a tab by your teams tab. In the scores area, youd can switch it from your team scores to a whole leagues scores as well, so if you need to keep an eye on a rival teams game you can.If you click on a game that is in play you got to a box score where all the game details our like whos on offense or where the play on the field is happening. There is also live tweets for the game from reporters or crew members watching the game. The ability to also have notifications of score at the half or the end of the game also make you fell even in your busy life youre still paying attention to that favorite team.
Technical issues:I have had this app for about 4 years and in that time ive never had the whole app down on me or have a certain click crash the app. The only things that can be a little frustrating is they do post stories that send you to sites that you must be a paying member of to see but no blank stories or crashed links. The notifications have been great and ive never received ones i didnt want and my teams have stayed the same with no wierd changes by the program.
